Mr. Mark Christopher Hepburn of Tampa passed away Monday, July 13, 2020. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, July 24, at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, 2002 N. Rome Avenue, with Reverend Dr. C.T. Kirkland, Pastor & Officiator. Please follow the CDC guidelines. Masks are required. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Mark Christopher Hepburn, affectionately known as “Champ” was a lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida, born to the late Howard and Leora “Leola” Lester Hepburn. Mark was educated and graduated from Howard W. Blake High School Class of 1969.
His parents, Howard and Leora Lester Hepburn and the oldest sibling, Katherine Beatrice Hepburn preceded Mark in death.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his siblings, Dr. Carolyn Hepburn Collins [Norris], Malcolm Anthony Hepburn [Angel], Debra Hepburn Taylor Bailey [the late Alvin], and Matthew Darryl Hepburn [Carolyn Evans]; Faithful and dutiful Sister-in-law, Sarah Hepburn; children, Mark Hepburn Jr. [Tereka], Darryl Hepburn, Ashley Hepburn, Marjorie Hepburn-Godbolt [Thomas II], Shondanette Hepburn, Yashica Roseboro Hepburn, and Amad Hepburn; seven grandchildren; one great grand; uncles & aunts, Theora Lester, Enez Lester, Amityville NY, Julius Ellington [Fannie], Acworth, GA, Emma Ellington, Pompano Beach, FL, Mary Hepburn, Florence, SC, and Margaret Hepburn, Columbia, S.C.; nephews & nieces, Norris Howard Collins, Jr. [Esperanza], Tallahassee, FL, Katherine Hepburn, TX, Michelle Walker [Tyrone], Dr. Corey Collins [Dr. Gwenesia], Boynton Beach, FL, Jermaine Xavier Taylor [Amber], West Columbia, South Carolina, Tamara Taylor Jefferson, Malcolm A. In lieu of flowers, send financial donations to be contributed in honor of Mark C. Hepburn to Mt. Pleasant M.B. Church Education Ministry grade and scholarships or to Florida A&M University Tampa Chapter Scholarship Fund for local students.
The Visitation will be held Thursday, July 23, from 3 to 7 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue. We are asking family and friends to follow the CDC guidelines. Masks are required.
