Mrs. Mary Francis Montgomery was born on April 21, 1943 in Monticello, Florida. She was one of twelve children born to the late David and Laura Williams. She passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2020 at St. Joseph Hospital.
She received her education in the public schools of Jefferson County, Florida and furthered her education by attending Madison Community College in Madison, Florida. Mary moved to Tampa in the 1960’s. She was an educator for the School District of Hillsborough County where she gave many years of dedicated service to teaching children at Edison Elementary, Potter Elementary, Broward Elementary, Just Middle School, Stuart Middle School and Blake High School. Mrs. Montgomery also gave many years of services as a volunteer at the Yellow Jackets Little League for over 40 years.
She married W D Montgomery on March 3, 1973 and to this union one son was born.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, David and Laura Williams, 3 Brothers, James Bellamy, Clarence Williams and Freddie Williams; 3 Sisters, Dorothy Green, Nellie Akins and Louise Williams; and her husband W D Montgomery Sr.
In her passing she leaves: 1 son, Warren D Montgomery Jr. of Tampa, FL; 2 grandsons, Dexter J Montgomery, of Tampa, FL and Ryan C Montgomery of Detroit MI; 2 granddaughters, Raven Johnson of Detroit, MI and Ariyanna Wilford of Tampa, FL; 2 Brothers, David (Loretta) Williams Jr. and Glen Williams both of Tampa, FL; 3 Sisters, Doreatha Williams of Tampa, FL, Mary Gunner and Josephine Parker both of Rochester, NY; 1 Brother-in-law, Willie C. Montgomery; 2 Sisters-in-law, Mary Ann (Leotis) Fedrick of Tampa, FL and Marie Smith of Dallas, TX; Special friends: Andrew Wilson, Coach James Wright and the Yellow Jackets Little League Fans and Family, Nellie West, Ron West, Press Box and Oak Village Family, God-daughter, Sabrina Lanier; and a host of loving nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.
