Michael Ray Obituary

Mr. Michael Ray of Tampa quietly transitioned to his Heavenly home on Thursday, June 4, 2020.   A Private Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be conducted Saturday, June 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue with Pastor Donald Lott, officiating.  We are asking family and friends to follow the CDC guidelines and wear masks.   

Mr. Michael Ray was a native and lifelong resident of Tampa, Florida.  He was educated in the public schools of Hillsborough County and was a graduate of Brandon High School, Class of 1981.  Mr. Ray furthered his education and attended Iowa State University.  He was employed by Aramark Uniform & Career Apparel, LLC for 33 years.

He was preceded in death by: his mother, Annie Mutcherson-Lawrence.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his only sister, Michelle Taylor (James);   one nephew, Antonio Taylor, Sr. (LaGonni Kelly Johnson); great niece and nephew, Antonio “A.J.” Taylor, Jr. and Alana Taylor;  aunts, Ruby Cutler; uncles, Ollie Mutcherson, Sam “Sammie” Mutcherson (Pam), and Cornelius Mutcherson (Willie Mae); special cousin, Eric; best friend/brother, Art Simmons; special friends, Chilli, Eric W., Ike, Chuck, Dave, Ratio and Amp; and a host of other relatives and friends.

THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC VIEWING.
