Mildred Lee Pollard

Mrs. Mildred Lee Pollard, passed away on Tuesday, November 12, 2009.  Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 15, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church, 2002 N. Rome Avenue, with Dr. C. T. Kirkland, Pastor, officiating.  Interment  will follow in Serenity Gardens Cemetery, Lakeland, FL.

Mrs. Mildred Lee Pollard was a native of Lakeland, FL and a resident of Tampa for many years.  She was a graduate of Washington Park/Rochelle High School and was a member of First Baptist Institutional Lakeland, FL and Mt. Pleasant M. B. Church.

She has been employed as a Private Duty Assistant and Grandparent.Org; at Tampa General Hospital and the City of Tampa. 

She was preceded in death by: her parents, Edward and Lula Debose; two aunts, Emma Cotton, and Ruby Alston; one uncle, Eugene Fleming; one daughter, Lula Dixon and one grandson, Alonzo Carlton, Jr. 

She leaves to cherish her memory: her children, daughters, Margery Worrels, Valerie Johnson (Lonnie) and Anita Stewart; her four sons, Alonzo Carlton (Michele), Edward Carlton (Gwen), David Carlton (Tish), Earl Carlton (Ann); 34 grandchildren, Derrick (Stephanie), David, Kamorie, Janelle, Amberlee, Nathan, Alonzo, Keisha, Quanjeana (Harvey), Monika (Derrick), Chemethia (Jarrid), Devada, Edward, Derrick, Gerald, Sherell, David, II, Antonio, April, Christopher, Stephen, Deanna, Isis, Earl Jr., LeVerne, Tangela, Timothy (Octavia), Kyla, Barbara, Stacy, Benjamin (Antoinette), Leslie, Franklin, Johnathan (Valeria); 52 great grands; and 5 great great grands; special mentions to her devoted caregiver, Anita Stewart, Crystal McFalen and the LifePath Hospice Ruby Team. 

The remains will repose from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, November 14, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue.
