Miss. Jahnaye Moody Obituary

Miss. Jahnaye Dayashia Moody of Tampa, FL passed away on Monday, November 18, 2024. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 30, 2024, 2:00 p.m. at St. John Cathedral Church, 3401 Bishop Eddie Newkirk Way, Tampa, FL 33605 with Pastor Terrence Fleming, Officiating. The interment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery, 4900 E. Chelsea Street, Tampa, FL 33610.

Jahnaye Dayashia Moody of Tampa, Fl. was born on November 9th, 2001. She was a native of Florida and a resident of Tampa Bay for 23 years. She attended Hillsborough County schools, graduating from Howard W. Blake, Class of 2020, and was a member of Victory Temple Outreach Ministries.

Jahnaye was a loving and kind person with a beautiful spirit, with a huge outlook on life. She loved everyone, especially the kids. She had a heart for God, always using the Fruit of the Spirit as her guide. She shared her knowledge with her family and with the young adults in her circle, making strides throughout her journey and leaving a huge mark in her lifetime at the Tender age of 23! Jahnaye loved to sing, dance, listen to music, watch her favorite shows, do puzzles, read, knit/crochet, all things regarding beauty, take pictures, make videos, vlog her day, be on TikTok, and make everyone smile. She called herself “FunsizeNaye”, but it was nothing small about her, she was so full of Life, she was “Big Mama”, and she let that be known. She loved hard, her cut-off game was strong, and she fought hard for who and what she loved and believed in. She was loved dearly by her family and friends, and she will truly be missed. #Forever23.

Jahnaye was preceded in death by: her paternal grandmother, Gaylon Moody; great grandmothers, Essie Mae White and Annie Jimmie Davis; great uncles, James Ford and Bruce Walton; and her first nephew, Mason D. Quick.

She leaves to cherish her memory with: her parents, Laquita (Gary) Mitchell and Jarrett Moody Sr. (Shanielle); grandparents, Annie Carter, and Michael Walton (Joyce); siblings, Jarrett (Aasha) Moody Jr., Janiah Moody, Jasiah, and Jeremiah Moody; niece, Ja’Zhani Bradshaw; nephew, Jarrett Moody III; aunts, Chablis (Tyrone) Bailey, Natavia Exum, and Jarvonna Moody; uncles, Ricky Parks Jr, Jeramy Moody (Sue), Jarius (Tea Jay) Moody, Michael Walton, Kelvin (Sassy) Exum, Tevin (Brittany) Walton, Mike Walton (Erica), Steve Russ (Cherie), Malik Walton (Shaylah), Steven Walton (Marshaunna), and Eric Walton; and a host of many loving relatives, God Sisters, God Brothers, great aunts, great uncles, cousins, and friends.
