Mr. Albert C. Young Sr.

Mr. Albert Young Sr. of Tampa, FL passed away on Friday, May 23, 2025. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606 with Pastor Donald Lott, Officiant/Eulogist. The interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.

Albert Young Sr. was born May 8th, 1938, in Byromville, Georgia to the late Rosa Neal and Will Young Sr. As a teenager he moved to Tampa where he was a resident for over 70 years. He retired in 2008 after working as a Longshoreman for over 50 years. He enjoyed attending family gatherings, watching any type of sports, and cooking for his family. 

He was preceded in death by: his daughter, Sybil Hawlls; son, Adrian Young; father, Will Young Sr; mother, Rosa Neal; sisters, Catherine Turner, Lena Archie, Laura Williams, Edith Fulks, and Shirley Housley; and brothers, LC Young, Rufus James Young, Murray J. Young, Will Young Jr., and Arthur Young.

He leaves to cherish his memories with his loving and devoted wife/partner of over 63 years, Arabella Young; children, Frederick Young Sr., Antoinette Young(Robert), Bridgett Young, Albert Young Jr. (Portia), Pamala Mcneely (Hubert), Sonya Joseph (Joseph), and Shelia Daniels (Willie); like-a-daughter, Natalie Holmes (Kevin); grandchildren, Schemika (Travis), Yuri, Frederick Jr., Perry, Kevin (Lashawnda), Jaison, Tamera, Panisha (Sean), Herbert Jr. (Shannon), Ashley, Lashay, Rayshad, Andre, Shirley, Carlista, Thaya, Kayla, Brittany, Cameron, Ronaa, Harmony, Kennedy, Carter, Naiem, Natalia, Kristona, and Remy; siblings, Edward Young, Bertha (Walter) Gary, and Ophelia (Alphonso) Ball; like-a-sister, (cousin) Annie Cason; sister-in-law, Eunice Young; brothers-in-law, Jesse Coston and Vaughan Coston; and a host of great, great-great grands, nieces, nephews, and beloved cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Ave., Tampa, FL 33606 from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
