Mr. Alexander Byers Obituary

Alexander Austin Byers, 34, of Tampa, Florida, entered eternal rest on Sunday, November 9, 2025. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 4008 E. Cayuga Street, Tampa, FL 33610, with Dr. Charles E. Anderson, Bishop of Trinity Worship Center, Officiating.  Family and friends are invited to gather in love, remembrance, and gratitude for the time they were blessed to share with him. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610

Alexander attended Spoto High School, Antelope Valley College, Utah State University and was a wide receiver on the football team.  He was also named MVP of the Hillsborough County East-West All-Star Game and held multiple athletic records.

Alexander was a devoted husband, a loving father, a cherished son and brother, and a respected entrepreneur whose presence brought warmth, strength, and inspiration to all who knew him.  Alex’s life was grounded in deep love, unwavering faith, and a commitment to those he held dearest.

Alexander, a man of purpose and vision, lived out his many roles with pride—husband, father, entrepreneur, son, brother, uncle and friend. His love, kindness, humor, generosity, and loyalty touched the lives of countless individuals. Whether offering guidance, sharing laughter, or striving to create a better future for his family, he gave wholeheartedly and without hesitation.

Above all, Alexander’s legacy is one of faith. He carried a grateful heart and lived life to the fullest, trusting and believing in God.

Though his time on earth was far too short, Alexander’s impact will live on in the hearts of all who loved him. His kindness, faith, and the example he set as a man devoted to his family and friends will continue to inspire generations to come.

The family reflects on the comforting words of Psalm 91:1: “Those who live in the shelter of the highest will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty. In Jesus Christ's matchless name.  Amen!” May he rest in God’s eternal peace.

He is survived by: his beloved spouse, Rilanta Brown; his children, Anylah Byers, Aliana Byers, Alexander Byers Jr., and their precious unborn child; his parents, Wayne Byers Sr. and Jacqueline Byers; his sister, Jessica Byers Owens and her husband Derek Owens Sr. and their children, Dajia, Deria, Derek II, and Lazarus; his brother, Wayne Byers Jr. and his wife, Taina Byers, and their children, Trent Byers, Wayne Byers III, and Taniya Byers; and grandmother, Betty Byers.
