Mr. Alvin Leroy McLeod of Tampa, FL, passed away on May 7, 2026. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606, with Pastor Rochester Jacobs, Sr., Officiating.
Mr. McLeod was born on March 28, 1955, in Tampa, Florida. He attended Hillsborough County Public Schools and graduated from Hillsborough High School in the Class of 1974.
One of his greatest joys in life was being the "Daddy of the Year" to his beautiful daughter, Nicole Lashawn McLeod, every single day.
He was preceded in death by: his mother, Julia McLeod Amos Washington; his devoted wife, Monica Lorraine Walden McLeod; his sister, Alice Lavern McLeod; his two brothers, William Bernard Washington and Richard Kevin Washington; and a cousin who was like a brother, Tony Gantt.
Mr. Alvin Leroy McLeod leaves to cherish his memories: his daughters, Nicole Lashawn McLeod (Leonard Coolidge, fiancé) and Dee Dee Christie; mother-in-law, Roberta Johnson Walden; brother-in-law, Irwin Walden; brother, Jeffrey J. Amos (Yolanda); sisters, Darlene C. Amos, Constance M. Walker (Clarence), and Veronica L. Washington; cousins who are like brothers, Ernest C. McLeod (Josephine) and James C. Gantt (Brenda); step children, Shaquila Walden, Paul Jones III, and Porsha Jones; best friends, Eddie Spellers (Barbara) and Gregory McDowell ( Louise); and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, as well as, family and friends with loving memories and thoughts of him.
