It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father, grandfather, relative, and friend, Mr. Anthony “Ankie Man” Thompkins Sr. of Tampa, FL, who departed this life to be with the Lord on Friday, April 17, 2026. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Faith Temple Missionary Baptist Church, 2916 Orient Road, Tampa, FL 33619, with Deacon Pierre Maxwell, Officiating.

Anthony, a lifelong resident of Tampa, FL, attended local schools including McLane Middle School, King High School, and Hillsborough Community College. He built a career as an Electronics Technician with Honeywell.

Anthony was a man who found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. He loved watching sports and enthusiastically supporting his favorite teams. Above all, he treasured spending quality time with loved ones—whether at celebrations, cookouts, or in the quiet moments of everyday life. He will be remembered for his charismatic humor and natural charm, and most of all, for the lasting impression he left on everyone he met.

Anthony was preceded in death by: his mother, Lizzie Mae Davis-Judge; his grandparents, Odessa and E.B. Davis; his uncles, Eddie and Arthur-James Davis; and his aunts, Yolanda Davis, Gayle Wimbley, Melvene Palmer, and Phyllis Singleton.

 Anthony leaves to cherish precious memories with: his father, Aubry Thompkins Sr.; stepmother, Arether; his children, Antario Greene, Anthony Thompkins Jr. (Desiree) and Serroda Mitchell; his grandchildren, Amoni Greene, Mia and Travis Montgomery, Katrina Otis, Aniyah, Yonnie, Anthony III and Asaiah Thompkins, Cassie Blanco, Dontavia and Sa'Ryiah McCardy, Ever'nique and Everlynn Taylor, Tariq and Tiara Small; his great-grandchildren, Sevyn Thompkins and Mar'Lani Harris; his uncle, Eugene Davis (Terri); aunt, Ruby Diggs; his beloved nieces and nephews, Ke'Shaundra Arnold (Jakayla), Sierra Wimbley, Rodger Cowards, Dorian Jr. (Shay), Antario, ShyKiah, Antonio, Marquee and Ginasia Judge, Calvin Jr. and Tyre Montgomery, Lateshia Thompkins, Jy'air and Jaylon Stinyard; siblings, Victoria Thompkins, Aubry Thompkins Jr.  (Caprice), Dorian Judge (Gina), Aretrina Montgomery (Calvin), and Angela Stinyard; Anthony holds a special place for his best friend, Sean Bell; special friend, Purette Ballard; God Loving Sister, Otella Lowe; special friend, Carla Warren along with stepdaughter, Madelyn Thompson; cousins: Shonte’ Davis, Se’Novia and Chardonnay Singleton and a host of other family and friends from Tampa, Miami and Georgia. Additionally, heartfelt thanks to all the nurses, technicians, and doctors at Advanced Care Center of Clearwater, Florida.

We are deeply grateful for your unwavering love and support during this difficult time.

 

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
