A Homegoing Celebration for Carl E. Williams Sr. of Tampa, Florida, who departed this life on Monday, February 17, 2025, will take place on Saturday, March 8, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Brown Memorial Church of God in Christ, 2313 E 27th Avenue, Tampa, FL 33605, with Superintendent Clethen Sutton, Officiant/Eulogist.

Carl E. Williams Sr.  was born on October 19, 1938, in High Springs, Florida, to the late Robert Williams Jr. and Lucille Johnson Williams. He received his education in the Alachua County Schools District and proudly graduated from Douglas High School with the Class of 1957. Following his graduation, Carl served in the United States Army. He married his high school sweetheart, Helen E. Williams, and together they moved to Tampa, Florida, to raise their four children.

Carl dedicated 35 years of his life to the Seaboard Coastline Railroad before retiring. He was passionate about gardening and enjoyed spending time in his yard. Known for his candid nature, he always spoke the truth and was a master on the BBQ grill. A devoted father and provider, Carl's presence will be profoundly missed.

He was preceded in death by: his beloved wife, Helen E. Williams, with whom he shared over 60 years; parents, Robert Willams Jr. and Lucille Johnson Williams; sisters, Gladys Williams and Thelma Williams-Sheppard; brother, Charles Williams; grandson, Marieo Norton; and great-grandson, Eric Norton.
