Mr. Charles Amos Moreland

Mr. Charles Amos Moreland of Tampa, FL passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025.  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606, with Reverend Clarence Nathan, Officiating. 

Mr. Moreland was a native of Griffin, GA and a resident of Tampa for over 60 years.  He was employed as a maintenance worker for the City of Tampa.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Mae Moreland.

He leaves to cherish his memory: loving and devoted daughter, Sonja Moreland-Jackson (Jimmie); sons, Gerard Moreland and Julius Holmes (Queen); grandchildren, Sierra, Jim, Ja’Kayla, Jala, Gervonté, Amarion, Julius, Penny, and Derrick; extended families, the Blaylock’s, Holmes, New Victory Baptist Church and The Colonnade at Carrollwood; and a host of great-grands and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
