Mr. Charles F. Harvell of Tampa, Florida, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 13, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, July 5, 2025, 2:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606 with Brother Frederic Gray, officiating.
He was born on August 4, 1941, to George and Kate Harvell in Jarratt, VA. Charles proudly served his country as a U.S. Army veteran and fought with honor in the Vietnam War. His bravery, dedication, and sacrifice exemplified the very best of what it means to serve, and he carried that same sense of duty and strength throughout his life.
A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, Charles was known for his big heart, strong moral compass, and deep love for his family.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. His legacy of service, love, and resilience will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
Charles was preceded in death by: his parents and several siblings. He is survived by his loving wife, Frances Harvell; his devoted daughter, D’Na Harvell; his granddaughter, Aundria Harvell; and a host of relatives and friends who will continue to honor his memories with love and pride.
The family takes comfort in knowing Charles spent his final moments surrounded by those who cherished him most.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
