Mr. Charlie James Tolbert of Tampa, FL, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606. Interment will be on Monday, March 30, 2026, at 12:30 p.m. at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513.
Mr. Charlie James Tolbert was born on March 25, 1942, in Sylvester, GA, to Charlie Tolbert and Lucy Gano-Tolbert. He was a resident of Tampa for many years and attended Howard W. Blake High School. He was employed as an entrepreneur.
He was preceded in death by: his parents; wife, Sharon Tolbert; siblings, Roberta Brown, Lonnie Russell, Molly Morgan, Bobbie Rigsby, Dorothy Stafford, Jessie Smith, Freddie Tolbert, James Marcellious Tolbert and Arthur Tolbert.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his children, Sharron Tolbert (Mark Fudge) of Lancaster, CA, Jason Tolbert (Latrice) of Texas, Yoldande Burgess-Starling of Tampa, FL; stepdaughters, Ronisha Calton (Sylvester) and Elizabeth Carr; grandchildren, Arlisa Glenn, Shavon Falconer (Demised), Danielle Peebles, Diamond Peebles, Destiny Peebles, DaMario Peebles, Ashley Falconer, Jason Jr., Amayas Tolbert, Germaine Allen, Dhevynn Jacobs, Jordan Wells, LaBonnie Wells Jr., Dillon Wells and Alexus Jackson; 22 great grands; brothers, Charlie C. Tolbert of Tifton, GA; sister-in-law, Martha B.
