Mr. Christopher Jerome Calton of Tampa, FL, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026.  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606, with Pastor Donald Lott, Officiating.

Mr. Calton, born on June 25, 1965, in Cochran, Georgia, to Fred Mathew and Martha Calton, was a resident of Tampa, Florida, for 60 years. He attended public schools in Hillsborough County.

He was preceded in death by: his father, Fred Mathew; grandmothers, Aricina Curtis and Hattie Matthew; sister, Ann Calton; brother, Rodger Matthew; and uncle, Randall Carlton.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his mother, Martha Calton; three brothers, Charles Calton, Jermaine Dawes and Rodney Williams of Tampa, FL; aunts, Patricia, Gail, Mary Ann, Hattie Mae, Rosetta, Jackie, and Peaches; nieces and nephews, Romain Fletcher Sr. (Victoria), April Carr (Nathaniel), Tyrone Calton Sr., Antonio Carr (Shaterria), Elizabeth Carr (Jay), Sharika Carr, Rodney Williams, Jr., Jeremiah Williams, Rodryck Williams, and Rodnae Williams of Tampa, FL; favorite cousins, Roenisha(Sylvester); special friends, Melissa, Sylvia and Ms. Bo of Tampa, FL; close friends, Ballie, Rock, Mary Hicks (Spanky), Tommy (Dawn), Willie, Tren (Jonas), Tracy, Robert Williams, Curtitine, Albert Welch, James Perry, Jamar (JJ) Jackson, Ms. Cynt, BG, Pat Jackson, Evette, Bertha, Deka, West Side Exit 42 family and friends; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
