Mr. Clarence Edmund Agard

Mr. Clarence Edmund Agard of Tampa, FL, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026.  Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606, with Pastor Prentiss Davis, Officiating.  Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.

Mr. Agard was born on December 14, 1936, in Bridgetown, Barbados, to Walter and Iris Agard. During his lifetime, he traveled extensively and eventually settled in Tampa, Florida. After 20 years of service at New York Downtown Hospital, now known as New York-Presbyterian Lower Manhattan Hospital, and 10 years at the University of South Florida, he retired.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Iris Agard; His brother, Samuel Agard; his sisters, Coreen Green, Grace (Agard) Bradshaw, and Esther Davies; and his son, Terrence Coleman.

He leaves to cherish his memory: His loving and devoted wife of 30 years, Patricia Coleman Agard; daughters, Sandra Agard, Debra Lawton, Belinda Wilson and Taranika Sutherland; son, Melvin Sessions (Damita); niece, Marcia Hospedales; Nephews, Samuel Agard, Basil Agard, William Davies, Marvin Walker and Roger Agard; grandchildren, Natalie Lawton, Deshaun Lawton, Darnell Hospedales, Darius Greggs, LaShaunte Wilson, Devondre Wilson, Mia Sessions, Caleb Sutherland, Calen Sutherland, Khalif Tyson and Taraji Tyson; great grandson, Joshua Sanders; sister-in-law, Mary Barker; brothers-in-law, Calvin Coleman and Nathaniel Coleman; Lifelong friends, Jeffery Goodridge (Wilma), Olive Harewood and Ann Waterman; and a host of family, friends and loved ones.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
