Mr. Clovis Neal Obituary

Clovis Neal of Tampa, Florida departed this life peacefully on Wednesday, November 30, 2022.  A Homegoing Celebration will be held on Friday, December 9, 2022, 11:00am at Beulah Baptist Institutional Church, 1006 W. Cypress Street, Tampa, FL 33606 with Bishop C.E. Glover, Officiating. The visitation will take place on Friday, December 9, 2022, from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610. MASK RECOMMENDED.

 

Clovis, affectionately nicknamed “Blue”, was born July 16, 1941, in Montezuma, GA to the late Ramsey Neal and Lillie Pearl Neal.  He was educated in the public schools of Macon County, GA and attended Macon County Training School.  After graduation, Clovis enlisted in the United States Army.  While in the Army, he met and married the love of his life Martha Goodwin Neal.  Upon leaving the Army where he was honorably discharged, he was employed by the United States Postal Service until his retirement.

 

Clovis was a member of Beulah Baptist Institutional Church where he served as the President of the Usher Board, and dedicated member of the Trustee Board and Finance Committee.

Clovis loved spending quality time with his wife, children, family, and friends.  He loved watching sports, traveling and had a special love for manicuring his lawn.

 

Clovis was preceded in death by: his parents, Ramsey and Lillie Pearl Neal; and a dear sister, Jeanette West.

 

He leaves his precious memories with: his loving and devoted wife of 56 years, Martha Goodwin Neal; two children, Clovis V. Neal (Elizabeth) of Tampa, FL. and Dr. Holly Neal Moreau of Miramar, FL; brother, Willie Neal of Montezuma, GA; four grandchildren, Brianna Denson (Nicholas) of Tampa, FL, Christien Moreau of Miramar, FL, Christopher, and Ryan Neal of Tampa, FL; and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
