David Agustus Brown, affectionately known as "Papason" was born on April 6, 1953 to his parents, Osbourne and Effie Brown. He was born in the District of Lances River in Parish of Hanover in Jamaica. He was raised with his siblings in a home filled with Love, discipline and respect for both family and the larger community.

David attended Saint Simon and Cacoon Primary Schools in Jamaica. After leaving school, he worked with a Construction company in Lucea as a Mason. He obtained a Certificate in Masonry and later became a Professional in Construction and Building.

David later relocated to work in Montego Bay, St. James, Jamaica. While in Montego Bay, he met Ms. Adassa Grey with whom he had five children. While living in Montego Bay, he worked as a Chef at the InterContinental Hotel and later Versair at the Donald Sangster International Airport. Later, he secured a job with the Royal Caribbean Cruise Company. This job as a Chef required him to be at sea for nine months per year. After years working with this Company, he decided to relocate to the United States of America specifically to Tampa, Florida. He worked at an Elderly care home, University Village, until his retirement. Throughout his career, he was known for his integrity and dedication wherever he worked.

David instilled a strong work ethic in his children and always made time for their school events and family vacations. He was very religious and ensured that his children were as well. Davidwas a devoted father, always there to offer love, guidance and a hearty laugh. He was known for his openness, agreeableness, honesty, patience, creativity, extraversion and compassion. His sense of humor could light up any room.

Tragically, one day he was accidentally hit and injured while walking along the street. He was taken to the hospital for medical attention, admitted and underwent surgery. The injurieshe sustained in the accident were severe. After the operation, he never regained consciousness and died a few days later.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his children, Marlene Brown, David Brown, Courtney Brown, Rhoan Brown, Kemar Brown and Latoya Brown; grandchildren, Shaquille Grant, Andrew Gordon, Antwone Gordon, Jordane Brown, Odane Brown, David Brown, Davano Brown, Courtney Brown, Aaron Brown, Ameilia Brown, Alaina Brown, Ammar Brown, and Amir Brown; great granddaughter, Aubrianna Grant; sister,Jennie Malcolm; brother, Desmond Brown; domestic partner,Jeneane Drummond; stepchildren, Freddrick Davis, Fredrika Davis, Sonya Drummond, and Charlene Drummond; and a host of many nieces, nephews and friends who will miss him dearly.
