Mr. David A. Reeves Sr.

Mr. David Alfonso Reeves, Sr., of Tampa, FL, embarked on his eternal journey at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 7, 2025, serene and peaceful. This marked the triumphant end of a long and courageous journey. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606, with Elder James Williams, Jr., Officiating. Interment will take place on Monday, December 22, 2025, at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513.

Mr. Reeves was a native of Tampa and a resident for 79 years.  He attended Howard W. Blake High School and graduated in the Class of 1965.  He served in the Army during the Vietnam era.  He was self-employed as a Handyman.

He leaves to cherish his memory:  four children, Tiehira Merritt, Tammie Jones of Hartford, CT, David Reeves, Jr., and Darius Reeves; two brothers, Daniel Reeves, Sr. (Avery) and John Reeves, Sr.; six grandchildren; eleven nephews, six nieces; special friends, Hursher Harris, Betty Hancock, Yvette Hancock, Alvin Hancock, and Sadie Perry.  He will be remembered by a host of extended family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
