Mr. David Walton

Mr. David Leon Walton of Tampa, FL passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.

Mr. David Leon Walton was born June 28, 1955, to the late Mr. Walter Walton Jr. and Mrs. Juanita Payton-Walton. He was raised in the Central Park Village Community. He was baptized at an early age at Greater New Salem P.B. Church under the leadership of Reverend Howard. He attended school in Hillsborough County. He worked various Maintenance and Repair jobs.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Mr. Walter Walton Jr. and Mrs. Juanita Payton-Walton; son, David Kennerdy; daughter, Monique Kennerdy; brothers, James (Sput) Anderson, Kenneth Walton, Walter (Reggie) Walton lll, and Michael Walton Sr; and sister, Patricia Walton Durham.

He leaves to cherish his loving and fond memories with: his children, Crishonna Walton, Latasha Kennerdy, Ronald Kennerdy, Victoria Kennerdy Griffith, Wilbur Kennerdy, Willa Kennerdy, Demetrius Walton, and Juanita Walton; siblings, Cheryl Walton Nelson (Pastor Calvin) of Fort Valley, GA., Ronald Walton, Donald Walton (Debra), Cecelia Walton Jones, and Tharwat (Bruce) Abdul-Malik of Atlanta, GA; and a host of sorrowful grandchildren, great grands, nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and loved ones.
