Mr. Desmond Elnaton Frith of Tampa, Florida passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023. A final viewing will be held Saturday, October 28, 2023, 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606 with Pastor Donald Lott, Officiating.
Mr. Desmond Elnaton Frith affectionately known as “Freddy” was a native of Montserrat, West Indies in the Leeward Islands, and a resident of Tampa for more than 45 years. He took pride in his culinary ability and served as an Executive Chef at Piccadilly Cafeteria in Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Clearwater, Florida.
Mr. Frith was preceded in death by: his daughter, Marquita Frith; mother, Margaret Frith; father, John Taylor; sister, Irene Johnson; and brothers, Eric Martin, Nicholas Taylor, and Rudolph “Slyvester” Frith.
He leaves to cherish and treasure his memories: his two daughters, Shameka Frith, and Ronda Dantzler (Mark); two granddaughters, Kenya Green and Michaela Frith; one grandson and best friend, King Wlliams; two brothers, Franklin “Ronald” Frith (Delores) of Boston, Massachusetts and Williams “Beep Beep” Frith (Leona) of Montserrat, WI; sister-in-law, Doris Thomas of Tallassee, Alabama; aunt, Catherine Frith; many nieces and nephews including, Vachel Murrain, Rohan Shield, Sheldon Meade, Ayesha Truitt, Chenille Blake, Ronald Martin, Leslie Riley, Damion Riley, Moses Thomas, Andrew Thomas, and Faith Thomas; special friends, Sonya Thomas and the Thomas Family, the residence and neighbors of San Carlos Place, Joseph Hippity, Mike and the staff at The Bristol of Tampa Bay, Mr. Frazier and the staff at the Florida Cancer Center; The Copeland Family; co-workers at Piccadilly Cafeteria; friends from Montserrat, St. Thomas, and Puerto Rico; and a host of other relatives and friends.
