Mr. Edward Bernard Hills

Mr. Edward Bernard Hills of Tampa, FL, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 29, 2026. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 North Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606, with Reverend  Simmie Anderson, Officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.

Mr. Hills was born in Lamont, Florida, on July 9, 1954, to his proud parents, Willie Hills Sr. and Rachel Williams. He attended the Hillsborough County Public Schools.

Bernard, known for his massive smile and laughter, possessed a big heart and an unwavering love for his family. During his mother’s illness, he devoted himself to taking care of her. He worked as a long-distance truck driver and later as a warehouse forklift operator.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Willie Hills Sr. and Rachel Williams; three brothers, Willie Hills Jr., Gregory Hills and Bruce Hills Sr.; two nephews, Deonta’ Hills and Gilbert Coleman.

He leaves cherished memories to: his children, LaSheka Denise Hills of North Carolina, Edward Bernard Hills Jr., Marcus Robinson, and Sherika Robinson; grandchildren, LaKayla Hills of North Carolina, , Zy’Kira Hills, Kamaria Clay and Kamon Jermaine Hills of St. Petersburg, FL; great grandchild, Milo Small; four siblings, Claudia Hills, Gail Hills, Harriett Hills-Clayton, and Carol Darlene Hills; nephews, Eric Cliatt, Adrian Hills, Gregory Glenn of Tallahassee, FL, Bruce Hills Jr., Cornelius Hills of Inverness, FL, Jamarius Hills, and Dontavis Vereen; nieces, Sherisha Mona’ Hills of North Carolina, Brittany Hall, Jessieca Harris, Alecia Hills of Texas, Serenia Hills, Clauditra Hills, La’Shawn Vereen, and Charleen Vereen; a host of great nieces and great nephews, other relative and friends; and special people in his life, Cynthia Campbell, Bobby Bradberry, Cindy Bowling, Reverend Simmie Anderson, Tonya Lewis, Katrina Hill-Myrick, and Mary Oliver.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
