Mr. Emmitt J. Wilson II of Tampa, FL, peacefully transitioned on Friday, March 14, 2025. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, 2:00 p.m. at Life in Christ Community Ministries, 9706 N 26th St, Tampa, FL 33612, with Host Pastor, Reverend Author L. Randall, Officiating, and Reverend Eddie L. Durant II, Eulogizing. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue Tampa Florida 33610.
Mr. Emmitt J. Wilson II was a native of Gainesville, FL, and a resident of Tampa for over 70 years. He was born in Gainesville, FL on September 22, 1951, to the late Mr. Emmitt J. Wilson Sr. and Evangelist Ethel M. Wilson. He was a retired Housing Authority Personnel and Maintenance Mechanic.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his devoted wife Of 34 Years, Mrs. Frances C. Wilson; beloved children, Mr. Emmitt Wilson III (Chiquita), Mr. Keith Wilson (Titra), Ms. Wondra Wilson, Mrs. Emmery Wilson Loague (Andrew), and Ms. Unique Wilson (Juan); brothers, Mr. Eddie Durant Sr. (Teresa), Mr. Earl Smith, and Mr. Wilburt Simpson Sr.; sister, Evg. Early Hicks (Terry); brother-in-law, Wilson Coney Jr. (Cathy); sisters-in-law, Vivian Curtis (Derrick), Patricia Coney, Andrea Coney, Eleanor Smith (Jamie), Sharon Lanier (Terrence), and Mrs. Gwen Wilson; 19 Grandchildren; 20 Great Grandchildren; and a host of God Children, Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Relatives, and Friends.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, March 28, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
