Mr. Francis Edward

Mr. Francis Edward passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.

Francis Edward was a true man of commitment to his family and his faith. He moved to St. Croix where he made his home in Williams Delight, pouring his energy into his work as a Painter and as the owner of a small but beloved Taxi service. Through his hard work, he not only provided for his family but also showed the importance of dedication and perseverance.

What Francis loved most, however, was spending time with family. There was nothing he cherished more than moments spent together, gathered around sharing laughter and love. He had a gift for telling stories, especially those rooted in scripture, which he held close to his heart as a devoted Seventh-day Adventist. His love for fishing, painting, and working on home projects filled his days with joy and gave him countless memories with those he held dear.

He is preceded in death by: his son, Rudy Edward; and his siblings, Romulus Edward, Daphne Edward, and Augustine Edward.

Francis is survived by: his loving wife, Fediana Edward; his children, Adlin Regis (Murray), John Edward, Leroy Edward (Marsha), Michael Edward (Karin), Mitchell Edward (Diana), and Rubeka Edward Brown (Clay); siblings, Josephine Edward and Maria Edward. 

Francis’s legacy includes his grandchildren: Maria, Sylvanus, Joyce, Melissa, Jonathan, Sabina, Amanda, An’marie, Malik, Tyrique, Fediana, Malia, Jade, Myah, Kaden, and Josiah; along with 24 great-grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren; and a host of many families and friends too numerous to mention. 

As we say goodbye, let us carry forward his legacy of love, hard work, and unwavering devotion to God and family. We thank God for Francis’s life and the precious time we shared with him. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten, for his memory and spirit will forever be with us. May the ancestors guide your path as you become one with them.

A Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 2, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
