Mr. Fred Albert Gathers, Jr. of Tampa, FL, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 28, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Greater Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 1207 N. Jefferson Street, Tampa, FL 33601, with Pastor Brett Snowden, Officiating.  Interment will be on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 East Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.

He was preceded in death by: his maternal grandparents, Deacon Arthur L. Green Sr. and Mother Louise Green; fraternal grandparents, Virginia and Lawrence Gathers; Lula Jackson, Angeline Broadnax, Joyce Ballard, Manina Jones and Michael Graham.

He leaves to cherish his memories: mother, Alease Green; father, Fred Gathers, Sr. (Margaret); two brothers, Niguel Cooper (Wanda) and Rahman Gathers (Sadie); four nephews, Jaylon Cooper, Justice Gathers, Antwoine Cooper, and Hendrix Gathers; one niece, Ezra Gathers; five uncles, Reverend Arthur L.
