Mr. Grady Philon Jr. of Silas, Alabama passed away in Tampa, FL on Monday, February 10, 2025. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, 11:00am at New Hope M.B. Church, 3005 E. Ellicott St, Tampa, FL 33610 with Pastor Thomas Wickes, Officiating. Interment will follow in Orange Hill Cemetery, 4900 E. Chelsea Street, Tampa, FL 33610.
Grady Philon aka Bud, moved back to Silas, AL after retiring in 2019 from Kinder Morgan in Tampa, FL. His hobbies were fishing, gardening, golfing, raising chickens, watching football, and his westerns. He loved making people laugh and will forever be remembered by his great sense of humor.
He joins in Heaven: his granddaughter, Diamond Copeland; parents, Grady Philon Sr. and Rachel Ann Philon; brother, Ronald Philon; and niece, MeShel Philon.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his children, Cazandra Philon-Nichols (Jamillah), Zekiya Oliver, and Marquis Philon; devoted partner of 42 years, Geraldine Chandler; grandchildren, Charles Walker, Davionna Humphrey, Isaiah and Arionna Robinson, Carlee Johnson, Reginald and Khloe Keenan; great granddaughter, Heaven Walker; stepchildren, TaShara and Jarniece Johnson; siblings, Joe Philon (Everlyn), Lizzie McGrew (Waddie Sr.), Cheryl Davis (James Sr.), Deborah James (Willie), Michael Philon (Carolyn) Eddie Philon, Joyce Harris (Nathaniel), Darrell Philon (Maria), and Pamela Williams (Derrick Sr.); sister-in-law, Annie Philon; aunt, JoAnn Hill; and a host of beloved nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
