Mr. Griffin Myles Jr.

Mr. Griffin Myles, Jr., of Tampa, FL, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024.  Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606 with Elder Donald Myles and Evangelist Rhonda Myles, Officiating.  The interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E Hanna Ave, Tampa, FL 33610.

Griffin Myles, Jr.’s sun rose on Thursday, August 25, 1955, in Tampa, Florida.  He was the third of six children born to Mary Alice Youngblood Myles and Griffin Myles, Sr. He attended the Hillsborough County Schools. 

He is preceded in death by: his mother, Mary Alice Myles (1933-2021); father, Griffin Myles, Sr. (1930-2005); wife, Antonia Myles (1951-2023); eldest brother, Ray A. Myles (1953-2017); brother, Ronald Craig Myles (1958-2023); and his great-grandmother, Mary Hobbs Brinson (1887-1986).

He leaves to mourn: his three children, Dexter Myles, Felicia Porter, and Griffin Myles, III, all from Tampa; stepsons, Renel Gilles (Frances), Indel Montfleury (Elissa), and  Louis Bonnet (Nakia);  beloved, long-time partner, Cynthia Axon; goddaughter, Kymore Kennerdy; grandchildren, Daisha Myles, Kayla Myles, Dextiny Myles, Jakyra Myles, Tamrine Myles, Bobby Myles Khemli Gilles, Renel Gilles Jr., Khiley Montfleury, Kindel Montfleury, Indel Montfleury Jr., Frank Bonnet, Louis Bonnet, Isaiah Bonnet, Kehlani Bonnet, and Jehlani Bonnet; great-grandchildren, Sophia, Layani, Daishawn and Jrue; three sisters, Mary D. (Lois) Myles, Janice Myles, and Audrey Myles Rodrigues; surviving brother, Darryl S. Myles; mourning nieces and nephews, Torana Hunter Wright (James) of Dallas, TX, Angela Smith, Amber Myles Williams (Kobe) of Pensacola, FL, Ebony Myles-Klinger (Kevin) of Vancouver, WA, Miguel Myles, Rashema Myles, Janice Myles-Hinton (Ebony) of San Antonio, TX, Raynika Myles, Dominic Blaine Callaway (Tracy), Jenae Sampson, Ursula Prescott of Atlanta, GA, Savannah Myles, Justus Greene, R. Cedric Myles, Ronda Myles, Morgan Nelson, Charmaine Vasser, and Gabrielle Rodrigues; longtime friends, Jacob Gray, Jr., Ruben Padgett, and Veleta Dewalt; and a host of grand grandnieces/nephews and great-grandnieces/nephews.

A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
