Mr. Haywood Lee Gordon of Tampa, FL, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025, 2:00 p.m. at The Kingdom Hall, 15208 Barby Avenue, Tampa, FL 33625 with Ron Chandrakuar, Officiating.
Mr. Haywood Gordon was a native of Wabasso, Florida and a resident of Tampa for 49 years. He attended Vero Beach High School where he graduated in 1975. After high school, he attended Tampa Technical Institute earning a degree in Computer Engineering. He was employed as a Senior Failure Analysis at Lear Corporation, which he retired from after 28 years.
Haywood was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on November 7, 1993. He served as a Ministerial Servant and had the privilege of giving many theocratic parts over the years.
He was preceded in death by: his son, La ’Tray Gordon; parents, Willie and Blossie Gordon; sister, Ellen (Missy) Gordon-Jones; and brother, James Gordon.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife of over 35 years, Andretta; children, Javita Richardson (Kiryenski), Jaudon Kirby, and Nicko Gordon (Shakia); Goddaughter, Khemara Lewis-Powells; 10 grandchildren, La ’Darius Johnson, Kirren Richardson, Aniya Singleton (Marquet), Dildra Richardson, Jaudon Kirby Jr. Donte Kirby, Savhanna Kirby, Nicko Gordon Jr. Skylar Gordon, and Nakobe Gordon; 4 great-grandchildren, Majestee Johnson, Pharaoh Johnson, Samson Johnson, and Mars Singleton; brothers, Willie Gordon, Robert Gordon (Willie), Olden Gordon (Monique), and Frank Gordon (Darlene); sister, Mae Frances Gordon; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, neighbors, and dear friends.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
