Mr. Howard Seymore of Tampa, FL, passed away on Wednesday, June 11, 2025. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 4008 E. Cayuga Street, Tampa, FL 33610.
Mr. Howard Seymore was born on August 16, 1946, in Troy, Alabama to the late Edward Seymore and the late Catherine Banks-Seymore. Howard’s educational journey began in the Alabama Public School System. He relocated to Tampa, FL in 1960, where he continued his education in the Hillsborough County Public School System. He graduated from Middleton High School. Throughout his career, Howard possessed diverse trade skills. He worked as a skilled cement mason, he honed his carpentry skills and learned upholstery. He dedicated over 30 years of his professional life to Mac’s Boat Top until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Gwendolyn Seymore; Parents, Edward Seymore, Catherine Banks-Seymore; Stepfather, John Banks; Siblings, Edward James Seymore, Lorraine Batson and brother-in-law (Joe); Dorothy Jean Jones and brother-in-law (Mack) Richard Roscoe Seymore and James Seymore Jr.
He leaves to cherish his memory: 4 Sons, Thomas Seymore Sr. and wife Valerie, Marcus Seymore and wife Nicole, Darryl Seymore and Kurtis Bardge; two daughters, Lakesia Seymore and Patricia Seymore; 5 stepchildren, Thirty one grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 6 sisters, Margie Pearson, Mae London and husband Richard Sr., Bertha Mae Logan, Ruthie Seymore, Dorothy Milton and Cassandra Bullock; 3 brothers, Willie Fred Seymore and wife Liz, Ellis Seymore and David Seymore; 2 aunts, Irene Norvell and Margaret Burke; 5 nieces, Vicki Shepherd and husband Montique Sr., April Jacobs, Delina Ward, Tichnia Diggs and husband Wallace, Avis London; 4 nephews, Patrick Collier, Robert Jones Sr. and wife Lisa, Richard London Jr., and Jermaine Muhammad and wife Aminah. A host of other family members and friends.
Visitation will be held at Ray Williams Funeral Home on Friday, June 20, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
