Mr. Ira Allen

Mr. Ira Allen of Wimauma, FL, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026.  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, 5909 Vel Street, Wimauma, FL 33598, with Reverend Ikie Dunton, Officiating.

Mr. Allen attended the Hillsborough County Public Schools.  In his early childhood, he was a member of Mt. Moriah M.B. Church.  He was employed as a farm laborer in New York.

He was preceded in death by:  his son, Timothy Allen; daughters, Tina Allen, Veronica Allen, Juanita Allen and Maxine Delisca; grandchildren, Timothy Jackson, Dontae Allen, and Tricina Golfin; great-grandchildren, Alaiya Delisca and Ivy Wesley; sisters, Doreatha Dorsey, Dorothy Matthews, Louvenia Bryant, and Gladys Wilcox; and brothers, Jesse Allen, Willie Allen, Nathan Allen, Curtis Allen and Samuel Allen.

He leaves to cherish his memory:  his daughters, Michelle Golfin and Nicole Allen; son, Micheal Young of Tampa; loving sisters, Geneva Nelson and Nancy Nellon; special nieces, Kimberly Nelson, Tishe Cooper, Ladreda Allen, Anita Allen, Phyliss Matthews and Vivian Henry (Ray); nephews, Clifford Matthews, Carlton Williams, Lester Allen, Stanley Allen, Samuel Allen Jr., Randy Cordell (Denise), Roderick Cordell (Michelle), Keith Nelson and Kenerick Nelson (Darlene); special friend, Lisa Scott; and a host of grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held one hour before the Funeral Service from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Moriah Missionary Baptist Church, 5909 Vel Street, Wimauma, FL 33598.
