Mr. Jabari R. A. Tolliver-Adams Sr. of Tampa, FL, passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2026. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 27, at 2:00 p.m. at St. John Cathedral, 3401 Bishop Eddie Newkirk Way, Tampa, FL 33605, with Pastor Dwight Newkirk, Officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.
Mr. Jabari Adams Sr. was a native of Tampa, FL and a resident for 43 years. He attended public schools in Hillsborough County. Jabari was a remarkable laid-back soul who found immense joy in life’s simplest pleasures. Known for his bright, unforgettable smile that could light up any room, he had a deep love for his family and cherished every moment spent together. He expressed his love through his passion for cooking and giving the biggest, warmest hugs. When he wanted a moment of peace, you could often find him sitting in his car, completely content, just relaxing and listening to his favorite music or talking on the phone. His easygoing nature and warm heart will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by: his grandfather, James Jenkins; uncle, Roger Tolliver; niece, Sashaeveyeon Roberson; and a host of other family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memory: sons, Jabari Adams Jr., Nah’mari Adams, and Yandel Cruz; daughter, Jakhia Adams; grandson, Rylo Yarde; granddaughters, Nova and Jaelynn Adams, and Jaionni (due in September); mother, Kimberley Adams (Alonzo); father, Robert Tolliver (Debra); grandparents, Helen Adams, Marylane Jenkins, and Patricia Davaae (Lloyd); brothers, Rolando Sr., Robert Jr., Raheem Tolliver, Demario Adams Sr., DeVontae Buie (Rika), and Corey Smith Sr.; sisters, Kaytoria Roberson (Clinton), Shykeria Adams-Roseboro (Hershel), Donneka Crawley, Aisha, Kemi, and Kamari Tolliver; uncles, Willie Adams (Valerie), Charlie Adams Sr. (Maria), Joseph Tolliver (Karen), Reginald, and Timothy Jenkins (Tanquitta); aunts, Donna McCall-Broadnax (Adrian), Carla Jenkins, Lawanda Cannon (Bernard), Teresa Jenkins, Talisa Thompson (Reginald), Janet Tolliver, and Shawn Johnson; nieces, Nikayliah, Kamiyah, Shylah, Shymeah, Samaria, Iyoni, Iyana, Layla, Lylah, Amariona, De’Khia, and Stetevia; nephews, Demario Jr., Rolando Jr., Bryson, De’Khi, Corey Jr., and D’Corion; great nieces, Alani and Kimora; Girlfriend, Delilah Powell; great uncles, Will Williams Sr. and Marcellus Mike of Arlington, GA; great aunts, Pauline Williams, Adena Bannister of Roanoke, VA, Deloise McKinnon, Betty Scott, and Mary Davis of Pompano Beach, FL; cousins, Emmanuel, Marshanna, Michael (Chiquita), TyKeia, Charlecia, Olivia, Solita, KeVondre, Marquise, Reginald Jr., Timothy Jr., Annequa, Ambria, Akailah (Anthony), Amara, Ameir, Genethia, Tameka, Dominique (Corey), Anjervica (Derrick), Joel, and Joelisa (Jimmy); special friend, Tia Anderson; and a host of other cousins and relatives.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 26, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
