Jack H. Carrie was a resident of Wimauma, FL, where he attended Bethune/Old Sun City school. He graduated in 1965 from Middleton High School and went on to serve four years in the United States Air Force in the Vietnam War before being released from active duty with Honors. Jack later resided in Columbus, OH, and Carrollton, GA.
He will be remembered as a giver, an extremely smart soft soft-spoken, chilled guy that never looked for trouble, his fashionable dressing, and being very close to his only son, Havard.
Jack is preceded in death by: his parents, J. Don Carrie and Willie Geneva Myers; Siblings, Ethel Muldrow, Helen Carrie, and Vernard Felder; Grandson, Ignatius Carrie; Grandparent, Mary Myers; Nephews, Morgan Carrie and Clifford Muldrow; and Neice, Andra Levins Singleton.
He leaves cherished memories with: his beloved son and best friend, Havard Carrie Jr. (Shezell); Stepson, Horace Carrie; Stepdaughter, Victoria Carrie Holmes (Beashon); Grandkids, Ignatius Jr., Jalyn, Jaden and Joseph Carrie, Roshonda Carrie (Ayari and Zyaire Carrie), Craig Jackson (Cahmari, Cassidy, SaLia, and Deus Jackson) and Hayden B. Carrie; Brother, Joseph Don Carrie Jr. (Bessie); Nephews, Myron Levins, Mark Carrie, Quentin Hicks (Michelle) and Curtis King; Nieces, Denise Porter, Wanda Washington, and Nicole Carrie; Very close dear friends, Emma Freeman, William Harris, Alberta Harris, and Lonnie Porter; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins, family members, and the Wimauma Community.
