Obituary

Mr. James Edward Bolton Sr.  of Tampa, FL passed away on Saturday, September 2, 2023. A Visitation will be held on Friday, September 15, 2023, 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606. Interment will be held on Monday, September 18, 2023, 11:30 a.m. in Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Road 72, Sarasota, FL 34241.

Mr. James Edward Bolton Sr.  was born on January 19, 1935, in Murfreesboro, Tennessee to the late Walter and Lucy (Sadler) Bolton. He was a resident of Tampa for 60 years. He attended the U.S Airforce High School Program and graduated in 1952. He was a long-distance Semi-Truck Driver for 59 years. During his retirement he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

James served ten years in the Airforce as an Executive Chauffeur, to the military leaders and staff. His footprints were felt across our nation and abroad. Some of his travels included Spain, England, Germany, Korea, and a host of other countries. He continued his travels within the United States and has driven through all 52 states more than once. He had an amazing sense of humor. He will be truly missed among his family, friends, and community.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Jerome W. Bolton Sr., and Gerald (Kevin) Bolton; two grandsons, Ceasar Bolton Jr. and Ceasar Bolton III; his sister, Mildred Tompkins; and four brothers, Deacon Thomas Bolton, Frank Bolton, Elroy Bolton, and Harold Bolton Sr.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his sons, Robert Lee Kelly Jr. (Yvette), Reginald Kelly (Miriam-Deceased), Rudolph Kelly, James Bolton Jr. (Rhonda), Ceasar Bolton Sr., and Keith Jusimon Sr. (Cynthia); daughters, Valerie Herron (Roy-Deceased), Margie Kelly-Morris (Thomas), Karen Kelly-Black (Artis), Ema Mann, Wanda Shephard (Richard), and Regina Kelly; grandchildren, Robert Lee Kelly III (Eldrena), Roderick Kelly, Davonte Kelly, Re’Shae Kelly, Roy Herron, Anthony Herron, Frederick Harris Jr., Franklin Harris Sr., Alexander Harris (Jasmine), Victor Kelly, Ian Kelly, Ricardo Kelly, Lamar Kelly, James Bolton III, Terry Mann Jr. (Nickie), Julius Daniels IV, Ra’Shad Daniels Sr., Antoine Colbert Sr., Sylvester Mann, Keith Jusimon Jr., Elijah Jusimon, Christopher Shephard, Dessen (DJ) Bolton, Shantel Bolton, Terrisha Mann (Dennis), Jerrica Bolton-Jackson (Octavius), Amber Bolton, Robbin Kelly, Karen Kelly, Renetta Herron, Carla Herron, Joy Herron, Tquowanda Kelly, Taroon Kelly, Justine Kelly, Saniya Bolton, Synia Riley, Jasmine Jusimon, Lauren Jusimon, Keisha Jusimon, Kiera Jusimon, and Shakeitha Jusimon; close friends, Ms. Cookie and the Nantucket Bay Community; and a host of great-grands, great-great grands, nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, other relatives.
