Mr. James Edward Smith

Mr.  James Edward Smith, affectionately known as “Smitty,” peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, August 30, 2025.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, 6:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606 with Pastor Alan Harris, Officiating.

He leaves to cherish his memory:  his wife, Maura Smith (separated); children, Linwood Hall Sr., Renvye Byrd, Diane Smith and Tracy Smith; grandchildren, Lin’Tretha Hall, Linwood Hall Jr. (Donneasha), Linquan Hall, Ashley Rivera, Denora McAllister, Nicole Porter, Dyronda James, Eddie Daniels and Joe Williams; 18 great grandchildren; a devoted niece, Traquita Hartsfield (Tocka) with whom he shared a special bond and relied on for support until his final days and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606
