Mr. James Louis "Sugar Bear" Graves III

Mr. James “Sugar Bear” Graves III of Tampa, FL passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 1, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606 with Pastor Donald Lott, Officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.

Mr. James Graves III was a native of Tampa, FL. He attended Hillsborough County School Public Schools and graduated from Plant H.S. in 1991.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, James Graves Jr. and Rose Sneed Graves. 

He leaves to cherish the memory with: his friend/wife Asia Johns; children, Jamesha Graves, Destini Johns, Jamario Cummings, James Graves IV (Lil Mann), Janea Graves, and Jaliyah Graves; granddaughter, Jakiea Graves; sisters, Annette Graves (Ira), Keshia Graves (Todd), and Jasmine Flounory; aunts, Jannie Sneed, Johnnie Ruth Gallon, and Thelma George; nieces and nephews, Tearah Lewis, Tekeriah Fortson, Irakiah Williams, Waynesha Lawson,  Keshawna Haynes, Perry Haynes (Bud), and Khaalid Tariq; great nieces, Gia Vassell, Star and Sky Young; great nephew, Jonah Vassell; God son, Ty’mir Jones; special friends, Melissa Branton Williams, Twanda Cummings, Princess Baker, Tyronda Jones, and Vicknesia Davis; and a host of cousins and friends who will miss him.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 31, 2025, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
