Mr. Jeffery A. Slaughter

Mr. Jeffery A. Slaughter of Tampa, FL passed away on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.  Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL with Pastor Aikens, Officiating.  Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.

Jeffery was born on October 2, 1959 in Tampa, FL to Willie Walker Jr. and the late Olivia Slaughter.  Jeffery, an outstanding chef, grew up in Tampa and received his education in the Hillsborough County Public Schools. Mr. Jeffery A. Slaughter was a great father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to all who met him.

Jeffery was preceded in death by: his mother, Olivia Slaughter; sister, Sheila Harris; grandmother, Eva Mae Cooper; aunt, Marie Thompson; uncle, Daniel McDonald; brother, Darryl Williams; and grandson, Jeffery Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his children, Ta'wan Williams, Jeffery Slaughter (Cassandra), Jawain Slaughter, Jermain Slaughter (Deidra), Jamaar Chapman (Yali) and Janiqua Chapman (Reashea); grandchildren, Yazmine W., Zanail W., Elijah S., Jeffery III, Ja'quayvia, Ja'yonna, Jayshaun, Journee, Jadah, Jawain Jr., Jermain Jr., Jaelee, Jayleen, and Jalil; great grandchildren, Azara H., and Zariah S.; siblings, Tina Walker (Thomas), Gregory Slaughter (Althea), Michael Slaughter (Kim), Carlton Reed, Sandra King (David), Willett Walker-White (Cary), Yulonda Walker, Leonardo Davis, Alvertus Parker (Renee), and Carvie Upshaw; nieces, TaKenya Ballard (Curtis), Tenesha Williams (Anthony), and Chazlina Archer; nephews, Thomas Walker Il, Michael Slaughter, and Michael T. Slaughter; cousins, Cheryl Oates (Reggie) and Ralph Berry; special friends, Wanda Chapman and the Reed family  and a host of sorrowing nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
