Mr. Jesse Lee Davenport

Mr. Jesse Lee Davenport passed away peacefully, surrounded by those who loved him, on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at the age of 80. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, 2:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606 with Pastor Donald Lott, Officiant/Eulogist.

Jesse Lee Davenport was born on December 2, 1944, in Coleman, FL, to his parents, King and Gladys Davenport. He cherished his parents, siblings, and his entire family. He lived a life of Joy, Faith, and unwavering devotion to God. Jesse was many things: a pastor, brother, uncle, carpenter, builder, painter, philanthropist, and a professor. He wore all of these

titles with great integrity.

Jesse Lee Davenport's life was a glorious testimony of grace, laughter, and unwavering love for his family. Though he will be deeply missed by all who loved him, we rejoice in knowing that he now rests in the arms of his Savior.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, King and Gladys Davenport; brothers, Joseph and Carter Davenport; and sister, Mary L. Collins.

Those left to mourn his passing are: his 2 sisters, Estelle Davenport and Evelyn Davenport; 3 brothers, King Davenport, Roger Davenport, and Charles Davenport; 2 sisters-in-law, Antoinette Davenport and Janet Davenport; 3 aunts, Lillie B. McDonald of Palm Beach, FL, Veter M. Clinkscale (Tyrone) of Harrisburg, PA and Dorothy L. Jacobs; 5 nieces, Chandra Moran, Sharon Moran Moorer (Patrick Sr.) of Missouri City, TX, Marissa Davenport, Victoria Davenport, and Latoria Harris; 5 nephews, Rodderick Davenport, Kim Davenport, King Davenport IV, Joseph Davenport and Carter Davenport Jr.; 8 great nieces and nephews; 30 great great nieces and nephews; extended family including Arnetta Collins and family, Nancy McNeil and family, The Dennards, Dunnigans, and Jean family; and a host of cousins and other sorrowing relatives.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
