With hearts full of love and gratitude, we celebrate the life of Jessie Dorce, who passed away on February 18, 2025. While his physical presence will be missed, his spirit, kindness, and love will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
A Homegoing Service to honor his life will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at New Jerusalem Haitian Baptist Church, 1912 E 139th Ave, Tampa, FL 33613. Following the service, Jessie will be laid to rest at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 4207 E. Lake Avenue
Tampa, FL 33610.
Born in Pahokee, FL, Jessie spent the past 29 years as a beloved member of the Tampa community. He was the cherished son of Lemerne Charles and the late Willie Dorce. Jessie attended Middleton High School and a proud graduate of Florida Youth Challenge Academy; Jessie was known for his unwavering faith as a devoted member of Christian Assembly Church.
Jessie’s greatest joy was his family. He leaves behind a legacy of love in: his wife, Rose Dorce; his treasured children, Kirah and Raheem Dorce; his devoted mother, Lemerne Charles; and his loving siblings, Bernadette Young (Kevin Young), Daniel Paul (Rosecamelle Paul), Westive Paul, Vasty Paul (Karen Paul), Billie Dorce, and Claudi Fleuzinord (Valenzia Fleuzinord).
Jessie was a proud and loving uncle to his nieces and nephews: Naima Young, Ivy Young, Naika Paul, Skye Young, Vasty Paul Jr., and Cairo Fleuzinord. His extended family of cousins and friends will also forever cherish his memory.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at New Jerusalem Haitian Baptist Church, 1912 E 139th Avenue, Tampa, FL 33613.
Though Jessie’s time with us was far too short, his impact was immeasurable. His kindness, strength, and unwavering love for his family will continue to inspire all who knew him. As we gather to celebrate his life, we find comfort in knowing that his spirit lives on in the hearts of those he touched.
