Mr. Jose A Rodriguez

Jose A. Rodriguez of Tampa, Fl passed away on Saturday January 21, 2023. A visitation will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2023, 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606. MASK RECOMMENDED.

Jose was born on October 11, 1948, he was the oldest of 4 children. Jose attended Hillsborough County Public Schools and graduated from Blake Senior High School in 1966. He then went on to serve in the U.S. Army completing a tour in Vietnam and was honorably discharged. He then returned home to Tampa and married the love of his life, Ivory M. Ferguson, and they shared 45 years of their lives together before she passed away in December 2015.

Jose served in many civil service capacities as an employee with Hillsborough County as well as the City of Tampa. He later joined the staff at the Veterans Administration.

He is preceded in death by: his Wife, Ivory Rodríguez; Father, Albert Rodríguez; Mother, Olga Vasquez; and his Brother, Santiago Vasquez.

He leaves to cherish his memory: his Children, Pastor Donald (Pastor Tiffany) Lott, Dianna Lott, Jose (Kandi) Rodriguez, and Ricardo (Monica) Rodriguez; Grandchildren, Dominick Lott, DaVejon Lott, Adonna Lott, DeJavon Lott, Savion Lott, Kenyon Lott, Sidney Lott, Zoe’ Lott, Ceashia Rodriguez, Jordan, Ricardo Rodrgiuez, Jr., Ny’lah Rodriguez, Micah Rodríguez, Artrella Davis, and Kaneeshia Davis; Great Grandchildren, Amirah Lott, Ja’Nina Lott, Kaydyn Lott, Aria Lott,  and Josiah Hernandez; Siblings, Rebecca (Juan) Rodriguez, and Edwin Vasquez; and a host of extended family members.
