Mr. Kale E. Gainous, lovingly known as “Gaino,” of Tampa, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2026. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 22, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
A native of Tampa, Florida. Kale was a lifelong resident for 58 years. He attended Plant High School, where he proudly played football, and later worked as a mail carrier with the United States Postal Service. Kale was a devoted father, loving partner, and loyal friend whose presence brought comfort and joy to those around him. He enjoyed listening to music, spending time with family and friends, and creating lasting memories with the people he loved most.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Underwood, and his father, Larry Gainous.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his longtime partner and the mother of his children, Rotonda Speer; his sons, Sherman Alleyne and Kardae Gainous (Kaila); his daughter, Kalissa Gainous; his grandchildren, Jaxon Gainous, Roman Gainous, Mason Gainous, and De’amariah Branton; his brother, Kyle Gainous and family; his sister, Konneeceeless “Neecee” Johnson and family; his aunt, Vanessa Grace and family; his dear friends, Joey Nix and Freddie Jones; along with a host of cousins, relatives, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
