Mr. Laster Eugene Davis Jr.

Laster Eugene Davis Jr. passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606, Pastor Donald Lott, Officiator/Eulogist.

Laster Eugene Davis Jr. was born on August 28, 1957, to the late Laster Eugene Davis Sr. and Bessie Pearl Salters. Laster was a beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Laster was known for his deep love for his family, which was evident in everything he did. He found joy in the simple moments spent with them. His laughter and love will be deeply missed by all who know him. Laster’s legacy of hard work and devotion to family will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.

Laster was raised in Tampa, where he attended Hillsborough County Public Schools. He then went on to build a successful career in automotive sales, working for over 35 years at various dealerships before retiring from Ferman Dodge Chrysler Jeep in 2022. His passion for cars and his commitment to customers made him a respected figure in the industry. 

Laster is survived by:  his loving wife, Beverly Johnson Davis; daughter, Brandi Wajd (Hassan Wajd); son, Lamont Eugene Davis; nine cherished grandchildren,  Qaseem, Qadiir, Jazmyn, Jasara, and Qamar Wajd, Kendra, Preshontis, Yasmond, and Keyuntis Davis; eight great-grandchildren, Kaniyah, Greg, Arkecia, Kyrin, Chosen, Kyng, Nayeli, and Javale;  siblings, Wanda Arnold, Ronnie Davis, and Patricia Stillings; Aunts, Charlie Mae Roberts and Old Mae Williams and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
