Mr. Leo Albert Cross, Jr.

Mr. Leo A. Cross of Tampa, FL, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2026.  Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606, with Rev. Prentiss Davis, Officiating. Interment will be on Friday, February 13, 2026, at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513.

Mr. Cross was a native of Tampa, Florida, and a resident for 76 years. He attended Hillsborough County Public Schools from elementary through high school. He later moved briefly to Miami, Florida, where he graduated from Miami Carol City High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served in Vietnam. He was honorably discharged from military service.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Leo and Flarria Cross and brother, Theodore Cross.

He leaves to cherish his memory:  his son, Joris Cross; grandson, Terence Patton; nephews and nieces, Theodore Muhammad (Yvonne), Brian Cross, Marlon Griffie, Sonyetta Pyles (Vern) and Tiffany Cross; numerous cousins, who include the Tims, Evans, Fulton, Finley, Johnson, Wiley, President, Spotford, Watkins, and Lewis families; and a host of neighbors and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. with Military Honors at 5:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
