Mr. Leonard Dean Obituary

Mr. Leonard Dean of Tampa, FL passed away on Sunday, December 15, 2024. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2024, 11:00 a.m. at Greater Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 1207 N. Jefferson Street, Tampa, FL 33602, with Dr. Brett Snowden, Pastor Officiating. Interment will follow in Myrtle Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, 4202 E. Lake Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.

Leonard Dean was a native of Cat Island, Bahamas and a resident of Tampa, Florida for over 69 years. He attended Arthur’s town Primary, and also was a math scholar in Cat Island. He was a member of the Usher board at Greater Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, for over 70 years. He worked as an Industrial Worker at the Shipyard for over 50 years, until he retired.

He was preceded in death by: his devoted wife, Venus V. Larrimore Dean; daughter, Eleanor Dean Cartwright; and his son, Randolph Larrimore.
