Mr. Linwood James Hall Sr. of Tampa, FL, passed away on March 12, 2026. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Beulah Baptist Institutional Church, 1006 W. Cypress Street, Tampa, FL 33606, with Pastor Stanley Harris, Officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.
Linwood, born on July 20, 1964, in Tampa, FL, to Ethel Bell Hall and the late James Edward Smith “Smitty” was renowned throughout his life for his strength, unwavering love for his family, and lasting friendships.
He touched countless lives and will be remembered for his kindness and the special memories he shared with those closest to him. During football season, one of his greatest joys was watching the Dallas Cowboys play—he was a devoted fan.
A life well lived leaves a lasting imprint on the hearts of others—this is his legacy. He was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and true friend. Linwood stood as a pillar of strength, resilience, and courage, moving through life with grace. He met every challenge with dignity and loved wholeheartedly, without hesitation. His legacy lives on through his faith, compassion, and unwavering love—an enduring presence that will echo for generations.
He dedicated more than 20 years of service working with FCC and Waste Management of Tampa.
Linwood leaves to cherish his memory: his loving mother, Ethel Bell Hall (Raymond); left to cherish his legacy, his wonderful children, Lintretha Hall Cherry (Devan), Linwood Jr. (Donneasha), Linquan Hall, Davara, Gwendolyn, Brittany, Derrick, Lerniesha, Derielle, Nikki, Vesa, Darrius, Vi and Marcus; his cherished grandchildren, Lin’auri, Linwood III, Nyanah, Todd, Marcus, Craig, Cameron and Chyna; his sisters, Elisa Hall and Debra Eskridge; brother, James Mobley; nephews, Breon Burroughs, Laquan, Rhaheem, Diamond and Bronquell Hutchinson; his cherished aunts and uncle, Annie, Dr Shari, Tina and Arthur; Linwood is lovingly remembered by his cousins, Aaron, Twanda, Yolanda, Bridgette, Stanley, Belinda, Troy, Dana, Shari and Mich; special friend, Yoshieska Priester, along with many other relatives and friends whose lives he has touched throughout his journey.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 3, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
