Mr. Louis Cooper of Tampa, FL passed away on Monday, February 17, 2025. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, 11: 00 a.m. at the First Prospect Missionary Baptist Church, 6012 Edina Street, Wimauma, FL 33598 with Reverend Levern Stephen, Officiant/Eulogist. Interment will follow in the Wimauma Cemetery, 6012 Edina Street, Wimauma, FL 33598.
Mr. Louis Cooper was a native of Avon Park, Florida, and a long-term resident of Wimauma, FL. He was a member of First Prospect Missionary Baptist Church of Wimauma, Florida. He retired as an on-the-rode Truck Driver for Comcar Industries, Inc.
He was preceded in death by: his mother, Eva Mae Spencer-Holmes.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory: his devoted/ caring wife of 32 years, Lucille Cooper; children, Anita Cooper, Latisha Cooper, Thomas Washington; 5 grandsons, Thomas Washington Jr., Blake, Cedric Jr., Tishaud, and Ryan Washington; 2 granddaughters, Dorothy Washington and Aiyanna Taylor (Justine); 12 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Jutta Washington and Rose Shupeiery; sisters-in-law, Fannie Washington, Allieen Walker, and Margert Washington; aunt, Ora Bell Levins; biological like a daughter, Viven Henry; special cousins, Mamie Ivey (Lucious), Carol Williams, and Dwayne Ponder; special friends, Joseph "Jake" Carrie (Betsey), Wilber Freeman (Emma), Rhonda Jackson, Blocker Jermaine Gay, and Linda Gano; special niece, Wanda Washington; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
