Mr. Marvin Messer III of Tampa, FL, departed this life on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, peacefully at his home. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, 2:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
Marvin Messer III was born July 7, 1962. He was a Tampa resident for 62 years. He graduated from Hillsborough High School and worked as a Construction Foreman for many years.
Marvin was truly one of a kind! He was very outspoken, but a joking man. The small things he enjoyed were a long loud conversation with his buddies and playing tickets at the dog track. The things he cherished most were family, his fiancé, and his loving children.
Marvin was preceded in death by: his dad, Marvin Messer Sr.; grandmother, Ruthie B Mosley; and sisters, Sandra Warren, and Isoralee Gilbert.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his fiancé, Brenda Benjamin; 3 daughters, Marvina (St. Gelatin Joseph), Maxine Messer, and Latasha (Eric Danford); 2 sons, David (Dorothy Newton), and Duwan Newton; mother, Alma Willis; 2 sisters, Josie Johnson, and Robin Graham; 3 brothers, Randall Smith, Reginald Messer, and George Messer; 14 grandchildren, Atavius, Robert Jr., Areonna, Aaron, Duwan Jr., Daja, Antonio, David Jr., Kadien, Saniyah, Zaya, Sha’Rod, Jawan, and Emani; and a host of relatives and friends.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
Arrangements entrusted to Ray Williams Funeral Home, Rhodes & Northern, Owners.
