Mr. Michael Jerome Austin, III

Mr. Michael Jerome Austin, III passed away on January 5, 2026. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Greater Mount Moriah Primitive Baptist Church, 1225 N. Nebraska Avenue, Tampa, FL 33602, with Pastor Dr. B. R. Fulton, Jr., Officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.

Mr. Michael Jerome Austin, III was born on May 29, 2007, in Brandon, Florida, to Michael Austin and Nacole Denise Nathan-Austin. Michael was a graduate of Stepping Stones School of Education, Class of 2025 and had hopes of joining the Marines soon after graduation. He was a hard worker who held a variety of jobs and especially enjoyed his time working at KFC.

Michael enjoyed hobbies such as fishing, gaming and watching anime. Some of his favorite anime included Attack on Titan, One Piece, Dragon Ball and Naruto. He loved the outdoors and participated in activities such as fishing, riding dirt bikes, riding his bicycle and going to the shooting range.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandmothers, Louise Austin, Mary Battle, and Edna Mae Rodgers; grandmother, Michelle Paula Austin; great-aunt, Sabrina Black; great-uncle, Willie Fred Austin Jr. and aunt, Kimberly Nathan.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his parents, Nacole Denise Nathan-Austin and Michael Austin; siblings, Mihiiyah Austin, Michael Austin Jr., Cray Austin, Milaya Austin, Michi Austin, Micha Austin, and Mahlia Austin; and a host of other relatives and dear friends. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
