Mr. Michael Sherrod Davenport

Homegoing Services for Mr. Michael S. Davenport, who gained his wings on Sunday, December 14, 2025, will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606, with Reverend Dr. Marcia Turner, Officiating.

Michael was born on April 29, 1961, in Tampa to Willie and Ella Davenport. He graduated from Robinson High School and was employed by Kenan Advantage Group for over 20 years.

Michael was preceded in death by: his sisters, Tracye, Shirley and Gracye Davenport; son, Derrick; nephews, Antoinio and Euriya.

He leaves to cherish his memories: his loving mother, Ella Davenport; sisters, Glory Tiller and Dorothy Davenport; brothers, Ozell (Vanessa) Hicks, Freddie Archie, and Herbert Porter; daughters, Michelle (Jay), Ellaycia (Frank), Zhanay, and Ava; sons, Ashly and Raymond; six grandchildren, Makayla, Johnas, A’lecia, A’layia, Mar’kaio, and Kiori; seven nieces and nephews, Eureka, Stacy, Xavier, Baraka, Juakeva, Kanea and Dimecio; and a host of grand nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. At Ray Williams Funeral Homes, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
