Mr. Michael Thompson

Michael Jerome Thompson, Sr. passed away on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2023, 2:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606, with Pastor Otis Cooper, Officiating.  Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. MASK RECOMMENDED.

Michael Jerome Thompson, Sr. affectionately known as “DJ Mike Fresh” was a resident of Tampa for 51 years.  He was a graduate of Gaither High School, Class of 1990.  He was baptized at an early age at First Baptist Church of West Tampa. Michael had a passion for music and regularly deejayed parties around Tampa. A few of his other favorite things were grilling, a good cigar, and Tampa Bay Bucs.

He was preceded in death by: his grandparents, Willie and Nellie Smith, and Alfred Thompson Sr. and Addie Boyd; uncles, Earl Williams, Sr., and Robert Keaton Sr.; aunts, Sandra Jackson, and Barbara Williams-Keaton; and cousin, Earl Williams, Jr.
