Mr. Phillip Kelvin Parker, Sr. of Wesley Chapel, FL, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2026. Homegoing Service will be held on Friday, April 24, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Greater Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 1207 North Jefferson Street, Tampa, FL 33602, with Rev. Arthur L. Green, Jr., Officiating.
Phillip Kelvin Parker, Sr., born on December 5, 1953, was a native of Mooresville (Parkertown), NC and a resident of Tampa, FL for 65 years. He attended Middleton High School and was a member of Greater Bethel M.B. Church.
Mr. Parker was a self‑employed masonry contractor and co‑owner of Parker Masonry with his brother, Larry Parker. Parker Masonry has been family‑owned for more than 50 years. Phillip Kelvin Parker, Sr., inherited the business from his father, Phillip James Parker, and continued the family legacy after his father’s passing. He was educated in the School District of Hillsborough County. He accepted Christ as his savior at a very early age.
Phillip Kelvin Parker, Sr. was preceded in death by: his beloved father, Phillip James Parker; his mother, Alda Mae Mills-Parker; his twin brother, James Melvin Parker; his brothers, Donnie Parker and Leonard Parker; and nephew, Jerry Harrison.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory: his devoted wife, Veronica Parker; his daughter, Cindy Parker; his son, Phillip Kelvin Parker, Jr. (Tumekia Daniels); his step‑daughters, Arika Sherman and Allison Whitehead; and his brothers, Larry Parker, Gregory Parker (Ursula), Keith Parker (LeQuita), and Dennis Parker (Sheila).
He is also lovingly remembered by: his grandchildren, Teandra Williams and Skylar Parker; his step‑grandchildren, Zoya Whitehead‑Pringle, Christian Mouton, and Daenerys Pringle; his nieces, Brean’a Parker, Santell Jackson (Lamont Jackson Sr.), Deija Parker, Deauna Parker, Kiara Parker, Kiani Parker, Jessica Parker, Jasmine Parker, Ebony Parker, Tina James (Frank), Tequilla Slack, Tina Slack, and Lakesha Parker; his nephews, Phillip Gregory Parker, Kameron Parker, and Darius Parker, along with a host of great‑nieces and great‑nephews. In addition, Phillip Kelvin Parker, Sr. leaves behind many family members and friends not listed by name, all of whom he impacted in meaningful ways and whose lives were enriched by knowing him.
The family of Phillip Kelvin Parker, Sr. extends heartfelt gratitude to all relatives, friends, and loved ones for their prayers, support, and condolences during this time of bereavement.
A wake and viewing will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 North Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606.
