Mr. Raymond McGill

Mr. Raymond McGill of Tampa, FL passed away on January 31, 2025, at the age of 89. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, 11:00 a.m. at Ray Williams Memorial Chapel, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606 with Rev. Dr. Rayford Harper, Officiating. Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, FL 33610.

Raymond McGill was born on June 3, 1935, to the late Ramon and Ethel McGill in Miami, FL. Raymond grew up in Amityville, NY after leaving Miami. Upon graduation from high school, he joined the Air Force. Raymond served in the Korea and Vietnam wars. Following his retirement from the Air Force, he worked as a Mechanic for Coca Cola and Peter O. Knight Airport.

He was preceded in death by: his wife, Sadie McGill; and parents, Ramon and Ethel McGill.

He is survived by: his three children, Robin McGill (Tampa), Gerald McGill (Austell, GA) and Chris (Sheila) Johnson (Buford, GA); grandchildren, Naomi Trower (Santa Clarita, CA), Christiana (Isreal) Bernal (Cary, NC), and Corey McGill (Columbus, GA). and his great grandchildren, Kylon, Jayden, Nelia, Isabel, Aubrey, and Isaiah.

A visitation will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Ray Williams Funeral Home, 301 N. Howard Avenue, Tampa, FL 33606 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.
